Something incredible has happened.
Winter is gone.

High Fest |
I have thrown away my winter boots the
other day. It felt amazing.
Juicy daffodils bow softly in the
spring breeze beneath a blue sky with puffy cotton candy clouds. I
bet they taste American-sweet. Athens has become so insanely pretty.
Every corner is blossoming, light pink and crème-colored buds of
magnolia trees unfold and release their scent.
Alongside the Hocking River and
Convocation Center grow 200 cherry trees, which were given from Chubu
University to represent the partnership between OU and Chubu. They
are just blossoming and lit up at night.
We will already leave tomorrow for our
project presentations in Washington D.C. I can not believe how fast
the time has slipped. So much work has flown into this project, we
have come a very long way. Also, the last weeks and the remaining two
last weeks have been extremely stressful. Deadlines and workload pile
up like the wooden bricks of a Yenga tower. As my journalism teacher
Ms. Edmondson reminded us in class recently: “Keep going, it's a
marathon, not a sprint.” The seventh floor of Alden Library has
become my favorite study place. That sounds not really innovative, I
know. But I love to sit at a tables next to an enormously huge
window, and see the sun setting behind the soft Hocking

Spring Time! |
Spring also brought “Fest Season”.
American-colledge-kid-insanity would be an alternative term. Every
weekend another day-drinking spree takes place in an other street. I
can tell you, there is a broad variety of creative drinking games. I
have my arms sunburned heavily from last weekend. It is not funny.
#Fest constitutes the climax of fest season. It is the most known College
Festival in Ohio where a bunch of bands are playing.
