This past week was crazy.
I have been so busy with studying for exams and writing papers last
minute. I am happy the week is over and I can finally enjoy the
weekend. This week was also really interesting in terms of the
presidential elections. Tuesday was election day for the primaries in
Ohio. In almost all of my classes the professors encouraged those who
haven't voted at this time to do so, or to at least get registered
for for the final elections.
Another interesting thing
happened today. I received a package from my very good friend Lisa
from Germany. She sent me a Kinder Surprise Egg, Haribo, a letter,
and some small gifts. Kinder Surprise Eggs are actually not allowed
to be shipped or brought to the United States. She knows that I love
Kinder chocolate and did not know about that prohibition.
Unfortunately, they opened the package with the egg as well as the
surprise inside of it to make sure there no bomb or whatever
dangerous thing inside. This is the most ridiculous thing ever! Also,
the chocolate was broken and almost gone. I bet they ate the
chocolate when they controlled the package. However, I was happy
about the package. It is always nice to get something from friends or
family.
I have also made some
efforts concerning my internship for the summer. During Spring Break
I have been sending a lot emails and applications to several
companies and organizations. One of them was the Alliance for African
Assistance. This non-profit organization sent me an answer and seemed
to be interested in having me as an intern. There are still things to
figure out so it is not 100 per cent sure if I am gonna be interning
for them in summer. Another organization responded just two days ago,
and asked me to look into the project that they are going to work on
over summer to see if I would be interested in it. I am still waiting
for other answers but I am confident that I will get a position offer
soon. I'll keep you updated.
