The GLC Goes Leipzig - Transatltantic Seminar 2015

We are welcoming this year’s delegation of Ohio University’s Global Leadership Center (GLC) to Leipzig University! For the next two weeks, GLC and ASL students will be working out proposals for Afghanistan, Nigeria, and the Ukraine featuring the “Vernetzte Sicherheit” (Networked Security) approach. They will be presenting their proposals to German and American diplomats connected to the US Consulate Leipzig, on May 22, along with representatives from the German Bundeswehr and Engagement Global, a German government office focusing on development policies.

After an introductory session at Albertina University Library in the morning, students got together in their groups to get started on their proposals right away. In the evening we met for a get-together at Leo’s Brasserie to end the first day in a relaxing way.
