4th of July Is Coming Up

I know it's been awhile since I have last written something here. I was crazy busy with my internship and online classes. Luckily, I was able to finish my online class and took my last final exam on Saturday. Throughout my internship there have been a lot of changes to my schedule, and was able to work more than expected each week. I will have all my hours completed in less than one week from now, just in time to celebrate the 4^th of July.
 

My internship is going well so far. My main focus is working with the 14 and 15-year-olds from the Step-Up program. Overall, the kids are really good and it is a lot of fun to work with them. Right now we are actually having a fund raising event. We are selling fireworks in a fireworks tent for the 4^th of July. I never sold and cared about fireworks that much. Now I am really getting an expert at this. Even though it is exhausting and extremely hot during the day under the tent, it is fun to see people getting so excited about this holiday celebration.

I will be leaving Omaha really soon on July 12^th to travel for the rest of the time until I go back home in September. First, I am flying to Fort Lauderdale. 10 miles away from there, I will be visiting some family from India who lived in the U.S. for a long time and own a small business. After that I am going to Miami Beach and Orlando. By the beginning of August I will leave Florida and head over to New Orleans, Louisiana. I was dreaming of going there since I was a little kid. Then, I will go to Nashville for about a week and take a flight to California where I will spend the rest of my summer. I am so excited about my travels and experiences other places of the country.
